Paranormal Catfishity 3 (UPDATED)
Uh…let me explain. Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that the co-directors of the “hit” Catfish are lining up for Paramount’s second sequel to the mega-hit known as Paranormal Activity. No plot details but did you expect any until its release? Oren Peli is returning to the producers role, coming off of 2011′s most profitable film in Insidious, and Christopher B. Landon is writing the script.
Do you think directors Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman have what it takes for a horror film? Personally, I thought Catfish was an over-hyped drivel, with a horrendous ending, but the “documentary” received all sorts of praise and glory, making this a neat little choice for Paramount.
[UPDATE: Looks like yours truly was wrong as Variety has a tidbit on the story: "being envisioned as an origin story set in the 1980s that will follow a new family." So there.]
