Paradise Lost is officially scrapped

I consider myself a big fan of John Milton’s Paradise Lost, and was much looking forward to Alex Proya’s film, despite that it wasn’t going in the direction I was wanting. However, Deadline is now reporting the film has been scrapped at Legendary Pictures. The reason as you may have guessed is the film was costing too much to develop. The selling point of the film was going to be the visual effects, but it was costing the studio too much money. They tried bringing down the budget, but that didn’t work apparently.

However, it’s possible the film could come back when technology advances to the point the film would work.
