Official plot for World War Z released

Not surprisingly, the plot for the movie version of Max Brooks’ World War Z from director Marc Forster is different than the book, as Paramount released the official synopsis today.

The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.

The film stars Brad Pitt – obviously – and also stars Mireille Enos, Anthony Mackie, James Badge Dale, and Bryan Cranston. It’s due out Christmas 2012.
