Nolan’s post-The Dark Knight Rises film?

In an odd move, Vulture is claiming to have  a source close to Nolan and has acknowledged a film following The Dark Knight Rises. And no, it’s not Inception 2. Apparently, many, many years ago Christopher Nolan was developing a biopic on Howard Hughes before Martin Scorsese beat him to the punch in 2004′s Aviator. He was working from a book called Citizen Hughes: The Power, the Money and the Madness by author Michael Drosnin.

This film would solely focus on Hughes’ “OCD-addled life, during the freakier decades of his life.” Vulture says Nolan wants to shoot his Hughes movie late in 2012, then release it in 2014 — by which time 10 years will have elapsed since Scorsese’s Aviator, a span Nolan seems to think sufficient enough for it not to invite immediate comparison.” Nolan isn’t one to blab about his next project when he’s currently filming one (which he will in a month or so on TDKR), so it’s a little odd, just a little. On IMDb, Nolan claimed it has “one of the best things I’ve ever written.”

No wonder why he didn’t want The Riddler in The Dark Knight Rises, maybe because he’s focusing on madness next? Thoughts?
