New stills and clips from Werner Herzog’s next documentary, Into the Abyss

The old saying is “there’s no rest for the wicked”, and maybe that actually applies to Werner Herzog as well. Herzog, hot off of his 3D documentary, Caves of Forgotten Dreams, is already gearing up to premiere his next documentary, Into the Abyss at Toronto International Film Festival, before going to Discovery Investigation Channel.

Into the Abyss is a film about several death row inmates in the Texas prison system: three men convicted of murder, including one man who killed his girlfriend and her two mentally handicapped sons, and a woman convicted of kidnapping and murder. Investigation as only Herzog can do.
