New release date for Captain America 1990
The Albert Pyun-directed Captain America from 1990 was originally suppose to hit DVD for the first-time ever through MGM’s Manufacturing On-Demand service July 19th (here), but it was mysteriously delayed.
Now, IGN has learned that the DVD will finally be available to own on August 23rd, and has the new, updated cover art:

This 1990 version is the familiar story of an American soldier in World War II who volunteers to be injected with a super-soldier serum and becomes Captain America. Meanwhile, the Nazi’s have a super-soldier program of their own, resulting in the hideous Red Skull. Cap is defeated and left for dead, but wakes up again 50 years later to find that the Red Skull is now targeting the President of the United States.
Killer Film readers should recall my Action Packed Flashback (here) where I discuss this forgotten superhero movie with the director.
