New Daredevil will be Affleck-less

Just yesterday, a director for Twentieth Century Fox’s new Daredevil was found in David Slade (here). The film was said to be a reboot of the 2003 film, but a “continuation” as well. Entertainment Weekly is now confirming the film will be somewhat of a semi-reboot in the sense that none of the original cast members (Ben Affleck, Jeniffer Garner, Colin Farrell, and Michael Clark Duncan) will be returning. It’s surprising really, and was to be expected. The film has taken seven years to get moving, and most of the cast have moved on with their careers. However, it will probably be difficult for any actor to replace Michael Clark Duncan as The Kingpin, in my opinion. Hopefully, we can hear something on casting soon enough.
