Mary Elizabeth Winstead likely not returning for Die Hard 5

Development on Die Hard 5 is moving forward with Bruce Willis set to return as John McClane, but it seems that his daughter will be sitting out of his next adventure. In an interview with The Playlist, Mary Elizabeth Winstead revealed she would not be reprising her role as Lucy McClane from the previous film. “I’m assuming I will not be [in that] because I have not heard anything. But it’s cool, all the updates and everything. I’m excited to see what happens with it,” she said. It’s not much of  a loss as it was great to be introduced to McClane’s daughter the last time around, but the new film would be taking John to Russia, and we’ll get introduced to his other offspring.
