Martin Campbell will not direct Green Lantern 2
As much talk as there been on the CG in June 17th’s Green Lantern, there’s been even more talk on sequels (here and here) for the upcoming DC Comics adaptation. While Mark Strong confirmed he’ll be back in Green Lantern 2 (here), the film’s director Martin Campbell (Edge of Darkness, Casino Royale) told Total Film (via CBM) he will not come back.
“This film has become the instruction manual if they do any further ones. It’s what we call pipe laying,” he says. As per the source, “not that he has plans to return for a sequel – like Bond, he loves ‘em and leaves ‘em.”
Let us see how kick-ass or lame-ass GL will be in a couple of weeks, but who would you like to see for the direction in the sequel?
