Mark Strong talks Green Lantern 2
Whether or not we ever see a sequel to Green Lantern is still up in the air. A script for a sequel apparently exists in some form, but with the film considered a box-office disappointment, it’s unknown if WB will move forward with it. Crave Online was able to get a word with Mark Strong (Sinestro) about if he would like to see Green Lantern 2 continue with Sinestro’s fall. “Sure, yeah, because I got into the mythology of Green Lantern. I read all the comic books, or as many as I could, and I slightly got hooked. I got into that character. And if the second movie is exploring his fall, then I’d be very interested, yeah,” he said.
Using Sinestro as the villain would be the best direction for a sequel to go. After all, it would seem like a waste to tease fans of his downfall at the end of the film, then go with a different villain. But even Strong isn’t sure if a sequel will ever happen, but hopefully it will.
