Man of Steel and The Hobbit NOT switching release dates
Fans were upset when Warner Bros. announced several months ago that Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel was delayed to Summer 2013. A smart move considering the film was to go head-to-head with Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.  Well, Think Mcfly Think posted a rumor that both films would be switching release dates with each other. However, the studio later contacted the site and denied the rumor stating The Hobbit is still on for its release date next December.
That’s not surprising as all three of the Lord of the Rings films were all released around the same time as The Hobbit will be, and it wouldn’t make much sense to delay one of the most-anticipated films of next year. Especially since there’s been no reports of the film having any trouble, well, not since the film started production.
