Lawrence, Steinfeld and Breslin all up for The Hunger Games lead
The race to find a leading lady for the upcoming adaptation of The Hunger Games is on! Apparently Jennifer Lawrence, Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin are all leading contenders for the lead. An actual offer has not been made to any actress as of yet, but it seems these are the favourites to approach with Lawrence getting the most attention. Decisions and offers are expected to be made within the next few weeks.
The film has Gary Ross on board as director, with Billy Ray writing the script. Lionsgate hopes to make this into ‘the next Twilight‘ franchise. The film is looking for a March 2012 release and Production is set to start in a few months.
