King Kong gets an animated reboot
Even though Peter Jackson’s King Kong was animated enough for most, Fox Animation is wanting to get a fully animated retelling of the classic 1933 film together, says Deadline. Not much else is known, except for the direction of the film, which will be told through Kong’s perspective, rather than Anne’s.
The studio has tapped screenwriters Christian Magalhaes and Bob Snow to do the film, but can they make an accessible family film, based off of a socially themed monster movie that does not have a happy ending?
