Kathryn Bigelow’s Bin Laden film gets a date
Ever since news hit about the death of Osama Bin Laden, studios have been racing to cash-in on the event. Fortunately for Kathryn Bigelow, she was already in the process of making her own film about the a SEAL team searching for Bin Laden. Columbia Pictures has now announced (via Coming Soon)Â the film will be released on October 12th, 2012.
The film was written by Mark Boal, and dealt with a SEAL team searching for the former AL Qaeda leader. The script was updated when the news about Bin Laden’s death surfaced.
