Justice League in 2013?
While DC Entertainment’s President Diane Nelson and CCO Geoff Johns have shot down plans for a live-action Justice League of America film (here and here), the Los Angeles Times is saying that a film is planned for release in 2013. The article is about the new President of Warner Bros. Jeff Rubinov, who is said to be releasing the film in 2013. It’s very unlikely for this to be true, and is probably just a mistake on the reporter’s part. Geoff Johns did say the plan was to release two films per year, but The Flash and Green Lantern 2 are rumored for that year (here).
Also, we’ve already heard that Batman and Superman won’t be sharing the screen together anytime time soon (here), and there’s no way you can have a Justice League film without one of its founding members. Then again, Marvel is moving forward with The Avengers without Ant-Man or Wasp, so it could happen. However, The Flash has yet to have his time on the big screen, and would likely be featured in the film should it happen. Even if a film adaptation was in the works, 2013 would be too early, but we can likely expect to see a film in the future. The only question is, when?
