Johnny Depp to appear in 21 Jump Street reboot

Jonah Hill wrote a clever cameo for Johnny Depp for the upcoming reboot to the TV series that gave Depp a career, but it was uncertain with the slew of projects on the actor’s plate if he could even think about doing it.

No more speculation, as Coming Soon confirms the cameo for the March 16th, 2012 film.

21 Jump Street is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs), the big screen adaptation stars Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Brie Larson, Rob Riggle, DeRay Davis, Dave Franco and Jake Johnson.

Fans will remember that Depp played Officer Tom Hanson for the series lasting from 1987 to 1991. Thoughts?
