John McClane looking for Die Hard 5 director
The rumor mill surrounding Die Hard 5 is turning, and it’s getting to impossible to know how far along development actually is. There was rumor that filming would begin this month, but Fox debunked that claiming a script isn’t even completed yet. Well, they’re half right. Vulture is now hearing the studio isn’t favoring the latest draft of the script written by Skip Woods (X-men Origins: Wolverine, The A-Team), and is going back to re-work it. Meanwhile, Bruce Willis is taking it upon himself to search for a director. Word is that Willis is keen on having Jorge Daniel Espinosa (Snabba Cash, Safe House) take the job.
However, Espinosa is looking to begin work on Safe House this year with Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington, and it’s unknown if he would be available afterwards. The Playlist was able to contact Espinosa’s representatives about the news, and they can say that he isn’t even thinking about his next film just yet. But we can expect to hear more names soon.
