Joe Johnston talks Captain America’s end credit sequence, sequel
With the pending release of Jurassic Park III‘s director, Joe Johnston’s Captain America: The First Avenger, CBM recently caught up with him to talk about the possible sequel and the end credits sequence, which will be our final prelude to The Avengers, released next summer.
[On the sequel]: “There’s been no discussion about the sequel to date. I would be interested if the story is as unique as Captain America. That’s a tall order, but if Markus and McFeely are writing it there’s a very good chance it will be great. There are other interesting characters in the Marvel universe, for instance, the Winter Soldier, aka Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes.”
[On the end credits scene]: “The scene between Chris Evans and Nick Fury was cut together from Avengers footage, so I had nothing to do with it other than agree to put it after the credits.”
