Jeremy Renner to be Bourne?

In late-February, we reported that several actors were up for the lead role in Tony Gilroy’s The Bourne Legacy (here, here) and was somewhat of an odd list of actors. However, Latino Review is hearing that Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, The Avengers) is about the be approached by Universal Pictures to star in the film. Given today is April Fool’s, it’s hard to take this seriously, but Latino Review insists it’s the real deal. The problem with this is that Renner is currently shooting The Avengers with Joss Whedon, and both films are listed for a 2012 release. But Renner probably won’t have a big role in that film, so it’s possible.
