Jennifer Grey responds to that Dirty Dancing remake
This might surprise you.
Fans went crazy for the news on the Dirty Dancing remake (here), which was announced the other day. The popular 1987 classic will now be directed by High School Musical director Kenny Ortega, who just happened to be the dance choreographer on the classic.
Original star Jennifer Grey talked to the Wall Street Journal (via MovieWeb) about her thoughts on the remake.
“I’m so excited about this news and I think there’s nobody better to do this than my beloved Kenny Ortega, who is as responsible as anyone for the success of the first one. I can’t wait to see what he’s going to do with it,” she said. No venom? Hmm, okay. Look for this one in 2013.
