Jason Statham says no to superheroes
The new action mega-star Jason Statham has been linked to a few superhero projects, namely the Daredevil reboot, as well as Transformers 4, but talking with The Guardian, Statham – who’s gearing up for The Expendables 2 – talks about why he doesn’t want to be in these types of films.
“Me in a cape? I don’t fancy that. Tight tights? Nah! I don’t think that’s right for me. I just respond more to true stories, that’s my flavor. […] I dunno. Luckily, I get to play some good bits that make people think I’m tough. Who knows! Ha ha ha! I just gravitate to those more testosterone-filled sort of parts than me playing something a bit more fairy-like.”
He’s kind of bad-ass to balk at the only real Hollywood money-makers recently. Thoughts?
