Jackie Chan as Mr. Miyagi ?!?!

For some time now we have told you all of the upcoming remake of the classic Karate Kid film and now entertainment weekly is reporting that Jackie Chan himself has been tapped to take on the role of Mr. Miyagi which originally won Pat Morita an Oscar nomination.  The first for a Chinese actor.

Aside from the remake being horrible news on it’s own and the fact that Will Smith’s son Jaden (Pursuit of Happyness) was set as the lead, this film is looking more and more terrible by the minute.

Harold Zwart of The Pink Panther films will take over directing duties.
