It’s Alive! (again and again and again) Fox wants a new Frankenstein
Long time Killer Film readers will recall an article I did called “Rusty Old Monsters”, where I explored if the classic Universal Monsters of the 1930s and ’40s can still be relevant today (here), and it looks like Uni has heard my theories, as we’re already getting ready for a new Wolfman movie, just barely a year after the remake came out (here).
Did Fox hears us too? They’ve tapped Max Landis, yes the son of John Landis, who gave us a fun creature feature is his father’s Masters of Horror Season 1 episode (Deer Woman), for a new, fresh take on Mary Shelley’s classic novel – Frankenstein.
Not much else is known about this project, other than it’s just one of many upcoming Franky movies, and that Fox wants a big name director for the film. Some sources are hearing either Paul Greengrass or David Yates. Hmm. Thoughts?
