Green Arrow pilot picked up; new title

We heard last week (here) that The CW was optioning a TV series based upon DC’s Green Arrow, but would have no connection to Smallville at all. Well, the show has been officially been picked up by the newtwork, and has been given a new title as simply Arrow. No word on when casting and scripting will get started, but hopefully it doesn’t share the same fate as that Wonder Woman reboot siries. But the character was well received on Smallville, and that’s probably why they’re giving the character another shot.
