G.I. Joe 2 to get another title change?
The sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is gearing up for production to meet its August 2012 release, and the MovieHole is reporting the film might be receiving another title change. A source close to the production has revealed the producers and studio might switch from G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes to G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation.
The source is claiming Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy) is returning as Zartan as well, playing the President. Here’s a possible hint to the story: “[Zartan's] got the world leaders all under his thumb, war heads headed towards innocent populaces, and some new heavies on the payroll to keep G.I Joe at bay.
One of the first scenes to be shot is a flashback sequence with young Storm Shadow and young Snake Eyes which will cronicle how they became what they are and their relationship.”
Remember, this is unconfirmed. The film is directed by Jon M.Chu, and stars Channing Tatum, Ray Park, Byung-hun Lee, Dwayne Johnson, Ray Stevenson, Adrianne Palicki, RZA and D.J Cotrona.
