G.I. Joe 2 has a release date
Paramount is really cracking down to get G.I. Joe 2 (tentative title) out. Jon Chu was recently hired as director (here), and now the studio has settled on a release date. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the sequel will be released on August 10, 2012. The site also seems to confirm yesterday’s report that the film will be making some big changes to the cast (here). Although, it still remains to be seen if that means characters will be re-cast or just written out of the film completely.
We should know more about casting in the coming weeks.
