From Silence of the Lambs to sci-fi Kennedy assassination

Silence of the Lambs director Jonathan Demme is adapting Stephen King’s sci-fi JFK assassination novel, 11/22/63. This will Demme’s first dramatic narrative film since the 2008 Anne Hathaway film, Rachel Getting Married.

The plot of the novel is this: “Word is the book follows Jake Epping, a 35-year-old high school English teacher from Maine who travels back in time to try and prevent President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963.”

No Dark Tower, no problem in my book. This sounds great, especially with Demme directing. Currently, the book is up for pre-order, and King fans are witnessing a new rebirth of his work on film, with the studio-less Dark Tower, a new The Stand, and remakes of both Carrie and Pet Semetery. Thoughts?
