Frankenstein’s Army news, casting updates and set photos
KillerFilm.com is lucky enough to bring you some news on an upcoming horror film currently being shot in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. Frankenstein’s Army tells the story of Russian soldiers who, during World War II, have stumbled upon a secret Nazi lab. In the lab the scientists have used the journal of Dr. Viktor Frankenstein to assemble an army of super-soldiers stitched together from the body parts of their fallen comrades. The film is being directed by first timer Richard Raaphorst. The film is a co-production of MPI/Dark Sky Films, LA-based XYZ Films, and Pellicola of Amsterdam.
Frankenstein’s Army stars Alexander Mercury (The Golden Compass), Joshua Sasse (The Big I Am), Luke Newberry (The Heart of Me), Andrei Zayats (X-Men: First Class), Mark Stevenson (The Last Horror Movie), Hon Ping Tang (The Fifth Element), Cristina Catalina (Eastern Promises), Robert Gwylim (Escape from Sobibor), and Jan De Lukovicz. Karel Roden (Hellboy, The Bourne Supremacy) has won the role of Viktor.
