Fox giving up The Fantastic Four?

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything on Twentieth Century Fox’s plans to reboot the Fantastic Four franchise, and this new rumor may explain why. According to Comic Book Movies, Fox will not be renewing the film rights to the property, and the rights will revert back to Marvel.

This is just  rumor as of right now, but it would sure be a welcome one to fans. Many are wanting Fox to lose the rights to properties such as X-Men (let’s face it, that won’t happen), and have Marvel get their properties back. Of course, the Fantastic Four isn’t nearly as big of a property as X-Men, and the films themselves didn’t do well (critically or commercially) at the box-office. So, it’s probably not a big loss for Fox.
