First stills from Polanski’s Carnage

Say what you will personally about Roman Polanski, his films are rarely dull or bad. The Film Stage has the first stills from his newest film, Carnage, an adaptation of The God of Carnage from Yasmina Reza‘s Tony-winning play. The film is largely set in one location.

That’s Kate Winslet, John C. Reilly, Jodie Foster and Christoph Waltz – heck yeah!

Set in contemporary Brooklyn, New York, the story follows two pairs of parents, one of whose child has hurt the other at a public park. They meet to discuss the incident in a civilized manner, but as the evening goes on, the parents become increasingly childish, resulting in chaos.
