Final Destination 5 to be released in IMAX 3D
The IMAX corporation released a press release (via Coming Soon) revealing that Final Destination 5 will be released in IMAX 3D.
“Final Destination 5 is an exciting new addition to our 2011 slate and another example of our strong and enduring relationship with Warner Bros. Pictures. As the first film of the Final Destination franchise to be released in the immersive IMAX 3D format, we are certain that it will have audiences on the edge of their seats asking for more. The combination of Final Destination and Harry Potter is a great way to round out our summer movie season,” Greg Foster, Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment said about the film. Final Destination 5 wasn’t shot in IMAX, but will be digitally remastered for the format.
Final Destination 5 opens on August 12th.
