Exclusive update on RZA’s The Man with the Iron Fists

Principle photography just wrapped on RZA’s directorial debut, The Man with the Iron Fists, and while we know Russell Crowe (here) stars, as well as Rick Yune (Die Another Day), Lucy Lui (Kill Bill), and Pam Grier (Coffy – here), RZA has been pretty vague on the type of movie it will be.

The plot is known: “In feudal China, a blacksmith who makes weapons for a small village is put in the position where he must defend himself and his fellow villagers.”

Well, Killer Film caught up with actor Bryon Mann (Street Fighter) who plays the Silver Lion in the film, and here’s what he says about The Man with the Iron Fists:

“I just finished filming this movie,” he tells us. “Let’s just say that there is nothing like this movie in the market place. It’s like: Lord of the Rings meets Enter the Dragon. The action, directed by Corey Yuen (The Transporter) is shocking. Unbelievable. YOU. WILL. WANT. TO. SEE. THIS MOVIE. Look out for it.”

No word on a street date, but IMDb has it listed for 2011.
