Details on Tron Legacy Blu-ray/DVD?

While Joseph Kosinski’s Tron Legacy is currently in theaters, the film is looking to end it’s theatrical run soon. The film has earned a $324 million so far, and has been met with mixed review (and you can read Jon’s review here). It look as though Disney has already set a date for the film’s home release in March. That’s what Brazilian site Omelete is saying, but it’s uncertain if this would be worldwide or just for Brazil.

The site also lists some possible details on the Blu-ray and DVD:

DVD:

It’s uncertain how truthful this information is, but it would put it line with the original Tron, which is also rumored for a March release on Blu-ray. However, this could possibly just be the bare-bones release, and Disney could be waiting to re-release the film later on during year. We’ve already heard Disney plans to release the film in 3D Blu-ray as well (here). While many loathe having to double dip, especially when James Cameron did this exact same thing last year with Avatar, this could be a good way to ensure a sequel is made. After all, rumor is an announcement on the sequel is expected soon (here), but Disney is probably waiting to see how the film sells during it’s home release.
