Details on Marion Cotillard’s character in The Dark Knight Rises
We know that Marion Cotillard was cast in The Dark Knight Rises as Miranda Tate, an all-new character created by Nolan, yet many thought it was an alias as she’s been seen in action scenes with Bane, making many think she’s Talia al Ghul, Ra’s daughter. In a recent MTV interview, she denied this long standing rumor.
“Well, actually, it was not based off of a character in the comic.” she revealed when they asked whether she looked to the comic books for inspiration while playing the mysterious Miranda Tate. When they pressed her for details and asked if she was telling us the truth, she replied with a smile: “Yes, I am.”
“It’s amazing to work on Christopher Nolan’s set. I’m so happy that I’m working with him again. I could do tons of movies with him. It’s a huge project, but at the same time, it’s like a family crew. He’s worked with them for such a long time, so you really feel like you’re on a family set.”
Think she’s lying? I doubt it.
Seems like she’s hiding something. To me The Dark Knight Rises seems like it’s lacking a really really bad bad guy. Bane? Catwoman. Not sure! Perhaps she’s another bad guy?
