Depp, Cruise, and Reeves for Robocop?

MGM is currently moving forward with their remake of the classic film Robocop whether fans like or not. The film already has a writer (here) and a director (here), but now it seems the studio is looking at casting. Moviehole is hearing that MGM is looking at casting either Keanu Reeves, Tom Cruise, or Johnny Depp as Alex Murphy. It would seem obvious the studio would want to cast a big name to sell the film, but it would seem redundant as the actor’s face will be covered for the majority of the film. And many feel that casting an A-list actor still wouldn’t top Peter Weller’s performance in the first two films.

Reeves, Cruise, or Depp, would you buy that for a dollar?
