Deadpool looking for “Comedy Directors”?

While we’ve heard that Ryan Reynolds is still wanting to make a Deadpool spin-off (here), we have no idea what’s going on with director. We head back in October that unknown Director Adam Berg was in talks for the job (here), but nothing has been heard since then. However, new Daredevil director David Slade (here) has posted on his Twitter that Twentieth Century Fox is looking for “Comedy Directors” for their film. “Love DEADPOOL, was never engaged in the (quite fantastic) script, last I heard studio was looking at comedy directors. None of my business,” Slade said. It would make sense for the studio to go in that direction considering one of the character’s attributes is his ability to break the fourth wall that’s earn him the title “Merc With a Mouth”.
