Daredevil to be a complete reboot
It was last week that David Slade was announced to direct Twentieth Century Fox’s reboot of Daredevil, but it was being labeled as “continuation” of the last film (here). It was then revealed afterwards the entire cast of the previous film wouldn’t be returning (here). Slade has now taken to his Twitter account, and revealed the film “will bare no relation to the previous Daredevil movie in any way,” he said. Slade also dismissed the recent casting rumors (here, here, and here) surrounding the film. “We are at early planning stages and have not yet discussed any cast,” he said.
The last film was entertaining, but it will be nice to what Slade can bring to Daredevil. Especially, since Slade mentions they have a “great outline for a very strong character driven take on Mr Matt Murdock,” he said. However, it’s disappointing to know that Michael Clark Duncan won’t have another chance to play The Kingpin again.
